About us

Hale & Voss was founded in 1998 on one principle: clients should always understand their own case. We have acted for founders, employers, landlords and families across the region for over twenty-five years, and we still take every first call ourselves.

They told me on day one that my case was weak. That honesty saved me six months and a lot of money.
Former client, commercial dispute

Client, property sale
Mrs Hale handled a hearing that had put three previous firms out. Calm, prepared and completely straight with us.

Common questions

How much will my case cost?

We agree fees in writing before we start, with a fixed amount for defined work or an hourly rate with a cap you approve. You will get the same estimate, not an invoice with surprises.

How long will it take?

It depends on the other side and the court, not on us. After the first consultation you get a realistic timetable with the milestones that matter, and we update you when anything changes.

Do I need a consultation first?

Yes, and the first conversation is free. It tells us whether we’re the right firm, whether it’s worth proceeding, and roughly what comes next.

Can you work remotely?

Almost always. Consultations, document reviews and negotiations all work over video or phone, and we attend court when it’s in person.
